Crizal Sapphire

Whatever the situation, glare is distracting. Crizal Sapphire 360˚ UV lenses deliver superior clarity and transparency so you can stay focused no matter what you’re doing. These anti-reflective lenses come with Multi-Angular Technology™, which helps reduce reflections from all directions, providing better aesthetics, enhanced UV protection, and safer nighttime driving.

Crizal Sapphire 360˚ UV anti-reflective lenses don’t just help with glare. They also help provide UV protection. Developed by Essilor International and endorsed by third-party experts, E-SPF® is an index rating of the overall UV protection of a lens—and Crizal Sapphire 360˚ UV is the only lens to offer E-SPF 35.

Crizal Avance

It’s no secret that lenses are fragile—and no matter how careful you are, they are susceptible to scratches. If you wear glasses every day, you know how much these scratches can distort your vision. Crizal Avancé UV lenses offer enhanced scratch resistance to help protect your lenses. Plus, they provide dust and dirt repellence for clearer vision and less frequent cleaning.

Lenses that are treated front and back with a clear, scratch-resistant coating—like Crizal Avancé UV—have a much harder surface, which is what makes them so much more scratch resistant.

However, scratch-resistant coatings can be optional sometimes. So, if you want superior scratch resistance, make sure your eye care professional knows that you want your eyeglass lenses to include a hard coating for extra durability.

Varilux® S Series

The most advanced Varilux® lens in the range. Overcoming the constraints of multi-distance lenses and providing complete visual freedom in any situation.

BENEFITS

Avoiding the restrictions of varifocals

Most varifocals come with limitations – for example, you might experience a ‘swim’ effect’ and a narrower field of vision.

Varilux® S Series lenses are the only varifocals to eliminate these constraints, giving you the ultimate vision with no compromise.

Shamir Autograph III

Based on a groundbreaking new concept in lens design, Shamir Autograph III® is a balanced progressive lens, holistically adapted to your prescription, ensuring a clear and comfortable visual experience.

Features:

  • Eye-Point Technology III®
  • Seeking to overcome the problem of different prescription-related viewing experiences through the same width viewing zone of the lens and questioning what you truly see, Shamir has applied reverse engineering to its technology. Shamir`s Eye-Point Technology III is now able to simulate real-world images.
  • Natural Posture™
  • The near viewing zone in Shamir Autograph III is dynamically located within the lens corridor, taking into account the positive or negative power of the prescription. This reduces the need to tilt the head forward or back, or alternatively to lower or raise a book when reading in an attempt to find the right viewing distance and angle.
  • IntelliCorridor™
  • This new technology allows Shamir’s designers to control the power profile of the lens, giving variable emphasis to the power for every given point on the lens. Shamir Autograph III is therefore optimally suited to meet the visual needs of today’s modern lifestyles that include frequent use of digital devices.
  • As-Worn Quadro™
  • As-Worn Technology™ ensures that your experience of the prescription once the lens is fit into the frame, is exactly the same as when originally measured by the optometrist, giving you the same viewing comfort and visual acuity.

Shamir Autograph II

Semi-finished progressives are made when the progressive lens design is cast into a mold, the design is on the front and the patient’s Rx is later ground onto the back of the lens. Made at the lab, Freeform® lenses start from a single vision blank and are ground with precision using special machines. The design and the patient’s Rx are on the back of the lens.

Shamir Autograph II® is available in four fixed fitting heights and takes into consideration the position of the patient’s frame and lenses, as they are worn on their face. In order to provide you a personalized lens, the frame will have some panoramic angle, the lenses will be tilted due to the frame or how you wear your frame and that the lens may be closer or further away from your eye than that measured in the phoropter. Because there is a difference from how a patient sees through a phoropter versus the frame, Shamir can compensate for these differences by utilizing a patient’s “as-worn” measurements.

Shamir InTouch

Today’s modern lifestyles are changing as fast as new technologies hit the market. Use of digital devices and screens has become an increasingly frequent part of everyday life. This presents our eyes with special challenges as they switch back and forth between distant and mid-range viewing and reading the small print on smartphones, tablets or other handheld digital devices.

To provide patients with the clarity they need for everyday tasks, and while staying connected when using their smartphones, tablets, and e-readers Shamir created Shamir InTouch™.

Designed as an everyday progressive lens solution with enhanced visual comfort in the zone most utilized for handheld technology, patients will notice a quicker transition of add power in the intermediate zone (up to 25% quicker than standard progressives). Shamir InTouch™ provides the visual comfort patients need for the “handheld zone,” a new reading area between 15” – 27”. No other lens is designed to meet the needs of this new zone.

    CR-39

Columbia Resin #39, or CR-39, is the first type of plastic lens used in eyeglasses. They started using this plastic in lenses after World War II, where it was used in fuel tanks. This lightweight lens weighs half of what glass lenses weigh.

    Polycarbonate

Polycarbonate lenses were the first high-index lenses created and were originally created for building fighter jet cockpits. They are very strong and scratch resistant which is why most sports lenses are made from this material.

    Hi-Index Lenses

Hi-Index lenses have the ability to bend light which allows them to be thinner than lenses of the same prescription of a different material. This causes the lenses to be much lighter.

    Single Vision Lenses

Single Vision Lenses are lenses that have a single power over the whole lens.

    Progressive Lenses

Progressive lenses are lenses that have three prescriptions in one lens. They allow you to do close-up work, like reading, middle-distance work, like working at the computer, or long-distance viewing, like driving. They are suitable for adults over 4o that are realizing their vision is starting to decline.

    Bifocal Lenses

Bifocals have two prescriptions in one lens, distance viewing and near viewing.

    Tinted Lenses

Tinted lenses can help you outdoors in the sun, working at a computer screen, or help reduce glare in certain sports. The amount of tint can vary depending on the purpose.

    Polarized Sunglasses

Many more people are spending time outdoors, and the need for polarized sunglasses is now stronger than ever.

Polarized Sunglasses help reduce glare and enhance the performance of sports or other activities. Normally, when light reflects off a flat surface the light scatters. This creates a reflected light that can be dangerous and or annoying.

Polarized lenses have a filter that blocks this reflected light.

Sometimes these lenses are not ideal, for example, downhill skiing. You don't want to block reflected light since you want to see icy patches.

    Gradient Tint Lenses

Gradient lenses are darker on the top and lighter on the bottom. This allows for the eyes to be protected from the sun on the top but have normal visibility on the bottom.

    Mirrored Sunglasses

Mirrored sunglasses have a reflective coating on the outside of the lens making them appear like mirrors. This decreases the amount of light that can enter the lens. Many police officers in the US wear these glasses which caused them to be nicknamed "cop-shades".
